Textures of Lisboa, 2024

Textures of Lisboa is an ongoing visual study exploring the tactile language of the city. Through architectural details, stonework, air-worn surfaces, draped linens, tablescapes, and moments of quiet decay, this series captures how Lisbon’s textures hold memory, movement, and rhythm.

Each image isolates a distinct material presence—sun-softened stone, patterned tiles, weathered facades, flowing fabric, open air—revealing how contrast and layering shape the city’s visual identity. Together, they form a sensory archive rather than a singular narrative: a collection of materials, surfaces, and atmospheres observed through a designer’s lens.

This project exists outside of traditional portfolio work. It functions as a creative reference library and a design meditation—informing spatial thinking, set composition, and material selection through place-based observation. Textures of Lisboa reflects an approach rooted in attention, restraint, and the quiet dialogue between environment and design.
